Hello new moms!  I’m a first time mom.. let’s share some tips and ideas and things that happened that we weren’t expecting like how much breastfeeding would hurt at first or how tired you can really get from all the middle of the night feedings!

TIP:  Let your baby play with his/her first baby food if they grab the spoon, it only gets a little messy and its too cute!

TIP:  Pick a bedtime for your baby and stick to it.  We made the mistake of letting our son go to bed when we do.

TIP:  Get a breast pump even if its just a little manual one.  When your breasts get engorged, trust me you’ll want to pump to get the milk out… its way uncomfortable when they get too full and a little painful if you wait too long to get it out.

TIP:  Just let the tears flooow!  After you give birth and you feel like crying.. just do it!!  I was so emotional at one point everyone that was visiting us had to leave.

TIP:  If you feel stretch-marks comin and it feels itchy and burning.. apply an ice-pack to relieve it.

TIP:  When your stomach starts getting bigger, to minimize stretch marks apply Cocoa butter or almond oil extract or vitamin-E oil daily.  As early as 2 months.  Also you can apply these to your breasts if they start getting bigger and feel dry and itchy, (avoid over-moisturizing your nipples).  Once you get stretch marks they’re there for life.  Sad, I know!
