My name is Christine Hill and I was born in 1982 in British Columbia, Canada. I had a pretty regular childhood up until my parents separated when I was in grade 6.
My mom had my 2 older brothers before meeting my dad then they had my third brother and me… so no sisters which I’m fine with because I knew I wouldn’t have to worry about anyone stealing my clothes and make-up!!!
My oldest brother Jamie, has 2 kids. I remember the day my nephew was born, I was at my grade 6 Valentine’s Day dance.. yes, I became an auntie at age 11!!!! I loved it, I got to babysit the cute little guy! My second oldest brother Rob, doesn’t have any kids but has a cat so thats like his kid!! One of my first favorite memories is when he had a couple friends dress-up in CareBear costumes and come to my fourth or fifth birthday party. My third brother Ray, is 15 months older than me and also has no kids….. yet!
When I was a kid I was in gymnastics and horse-back riding lessons. I stopped doing both too soon, I love horses and would love to get back riding. When I win the lottery I’ll have my own horses!!!
I had the chicken pox when I was around 7, my brother gave them to me. He had a mild case and chased me around the house then of course I get the most severe case. I got very sick, my mom had told me later that I had it everywhere.. in my mouth and ears, I can’t imagine where else, thank goodness I don’t remember everything about that! I do remember when I started getting better and had a few left on my face, at the time we were moving and I had to switch schools.. the first or second day of being at this new school, in grade 3 and not knowing anyone, I found myself crying in the bathroom and I went to wipe my cheek and also took one of the pox with it leaving a scar which I still have today.
Then also in the middle of high school I had to switch schools again. I didn’t want to at first but knowing my brother was at the same school helped. I believe everything happens for a reason.
I graduated from high school in 2000 then just worked and went to Blanche MacDonald in 2005. I graduated from the make-up artistry program in October 2005. That was a fun year… goin’ out on the weekends with the girls from school!!!
At 25 I met my boyfriend, it was love at first sight! Within a couple months of dating we decided to have a baby and 9 months later we were blessed with our little angel who we named Antonio. He has changed my life forever, I can’t believe I could love another human being this much.
My pregnancy was pretty normal, no scary moments or anything. I was uncomfortable most of the time… actually all the time, it felt like having one of those 3 holed bowling balls super-glued to the front of me!!! I don’t plan on doing it again, but apparently I will change my mind according to others!! Around the 8th month mark he had not turned into the head down position so I was booked for a C-section, they said if he turns then we’ll cancel the C-section… that never happend. So we went in at 39 weeks on February 21 and I got….. cut open!
My travels include camping in Alaska with lots of family when I was around 4 or 5 years old. Then Disneyland when I was 6, I don’t remember a lot except that I couldn’t go on any rides and I got really sick! When I turned 13 my mom took me to West Edmonton Mall. Then in 2001 I went to DisneyWorld and that time I didn’t get sick and could go on all the rides!! In 2004 my mom, brother and I went to Hawaii, ever since then I’ve wanted to go back!!! The year 2007 brought Las Vegas, a bunch of us went and enjoyed the adult playground! In 2008 I was supposed to go to Mexico for a wedding but I was pregnant at the time, so I missed out on Mexico but I do want to vacation there soon. And 2009 brought Las Vegas again… I thought for sure we would be the only people in Vegas with a baby, but I was wrong, thank goodness!
And finally.. I hope to one day have my own beauty salon where we can all get beautified!
To sum up…. I guess I’ve had a pretty normal life so far!!!
