I finally decided that it was time for me to have Antonio sleep in his own room. I felt ready, not 100% ready but I would never know unless I tried! Antonio was still waking-up in the middle of the night until my wonderful neighbor said to ‘just let him cry-it-out’. So that night I put him to sleep in his own room and when he woke-up a few hours later I didn’t go to him and he only cried a little then went back to sleep… now he is sleeping through the night (I thought this day would never come!). For all you moms out there that are still getting woken up when you know they’re not starving.. try doing this. My neighbor said that it took about 3 nights of letting her daughter ‘cry-it-out’ and it took Antonio only one night. He sometimes wakes-up (not crying) but does fall back to sleep without me going to him. If you have a newborn then of course you still have to feed them when they wake-up but Antonio is now 10 months so I figured he is old enough now to start sleeping through the night…. thanks to my wonderful neighbor!!

My daughter does well about 50% of the time, but if she wakes she usuelly wants into our bed. I just put her back when she falls back to sleep.
Thanks for the comment Robin, how old is your daughter?
wow 10 months and just got into his room. Well my daughter was 6 months but I always brought her to bed with us when she woke up. Your neighbour heard him crying at night. where do u live LOL
This is called tough love training, which works for my daughter too. She is now 2 years old. she was 10 month old when i trained her to sleep thru’ the night. I have to train her again and again after every holiday when the routine is disrupted. What I did extra is i “talk” to her like big kid before the nightfall, preparing her mentally.
This must be a releif for you and your hunny, hey? Some alone time if probably much needed. Hope all is well
