Sleeping Alone for the First Time!!

I finally decided that it was time for me to have Antonio sleep in his own room.  I felt ready, not 100% ready but I would never know unless I tried!  Antonio was still waking-up in the middle of the night until my wonderful neighbor said to ‘just let him cry-it-out’.  So that night I put him to sleep in his own room and when he woke-up a few hours later I didn’t go to him and he only cried a little then went back to sleep… now he is sleeping through the night (I thought this day would never come!).  For all you moms out there that are still getting woken up when you know they’re not starving.. try doing this.  My neighbor said that it took about 3 nights of letting her daughter ‘cry-it-out’ and it took Antonio only one night.  He sometimes wakes-up (not crying) but does fall back to sleep without me going to him.  If you have a newborn then of course you still have to feed them when they wake-up but Antonio is now 10 months so I figured he is old enough now to start sleeping through the night…. thanks to my wonderful neighbor!!

First Santa Visit!

Antonio's first Santa visitAntonio had his first picture with Santa at the mall.  It went so well, there was no tears and he smiled for the camera!  Maybe the tears come when they get a bit older and really know that moms not holding ‘em!!  I’m so impressed with the mall Santa’s, with their real white beards… I don’t think they were like that when I was a kid but of course I don’t really remember if they had a real beard or not, I was only interested in telling them what I wanted for Christmas.. as for all kids I’m sure!!!  I loved Christmas as a kid, our parents always made it fun with a big tree and lots of decorations.  One really fun time I remember was when they set-up a little treasure hunt and we had to go around the house finding little notes telling us where to go next… one note took us outside to the dog-house lol, after a few notes we ended-up back in the living-room where we found piñatas that we had to get open to get our gifts… that was a pretty fun Christmas, I plan to do that for Antonio when he’s older… and is now a good idea for all you reading this to do for your kids!!!!!  Merry Christmas everyone!
