I have to start thinking about baby-proofing my house… where should I start first?  The cupboard where we keep the liquor on the lower level or all the cleaning supplies under the sink.  Besides locking up all the cupboards in the kitchen and bathrooms, where else should I be looking?  Does anyone have any tips for this first time mom that may not think of everything?  I have a couple DVD stands, should I put those away or are the DVD cases too hard for babies to get into?  What about photo albums?  I think I should hide those for sure… I can just see all his sticky fingers all over the pictures!!  How about my shoes?  Should I put those in the closet?  Would he put teeth marks on my high-heels?  Maybe I’ll keep all of ‘em in the closet just to make sure!!!  Any tips and ideas that will help me baby-proof my house I’ll take!

I just have to tell you this cute story..  I was babysitting my cousins 2 little boys, at the time their ages were 3 and 5.  We went out to eat and on the menu for kids there was grilled cheese sandwiches, I asked the youngest if he would like a grilled cheese… he said that he wanted boy cheese.  It took me a second to realize that he thought I said girl cheese, so I tried to tell him that it was a GRILLED cheese not a GIRL cheese.. but he still didn’t believe me!  I ordered it for him anyway (without him hearing ‘girl’ cheese) and when we sat down I said, “here’s your boy cheese,” still not convinced he never did eat it…. I don’t blame him, if I was 3 years old I wouldn’t want to eat the opposite sexes cheese either!!!!

I’m getting pulled in both directions.. to get the shot or not.  I don’t know what to do.  I’ve never had the regular flu shot and never got the flu… so what does that mean?!!  Is this H1N1 flu different?  and we should get the shot.  My son is almost 9 months old, should he get the vaccine??  These are just a few questions I have!  Please…help, anything will do.. tell me what you think about this.  People are talking about the long-term effects from this vaccine… what the heck does that mean??!!!!
